THE EFFECT OF PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCY ON TEACHER PERFORMANCE AT SMK YPI DARUSSALAM 1 CERME

Objective: This study aims to investigate the impact of pedagogical competence on teacher performance at SMK YPI Darussalam 1 Cerme. Method: A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires as the primary data collection method. A total of 30 active teachers participated as respondents. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. Results: The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between pedagogical competence and teacher performance, with a total positive effect of 72.1%. This indicates that higher pedagogical competence is directly associated with improved teacher performance. Novelty: This research highlights the importance of pedagogical competence in enhancing teacher performance, providing empirical evidence that can guide educational policy and professional development programs. By focusing on pedagogical competence, schools can achieve better educational outcomes and quality teaching.
